1. Scope: The Home and School Association (HSA) is responsible for the financial support of the administration (principal, faculty and pastor) to help cover operating expenses of Saint Joseph School.

2. Purpose: The Home and School Association is required to raise $$$$, determined by the School Advisory Board, to help pay for operating expenses which the school is unable to pay through tuition alone.

3. Functions:

  • Organizes and schedules fundraisers, under the supervision of the principal, through out the school year to accomplish our financial goal.
  • Oversees all fundraising events.
  • Reviews and re-evaluates yearly fundraisers.
  • Collectively works with the parents of the school to obtain committee chairpersons.
  • Collectively works with the parish and school families to obtain volunteers.
  • Treasurer keeps records of all banking efforts; Debits, credits. Issues all drafts for reimbursements and makes deposits. Treasurer is accountable for all monetary transactions.

4. Organization & Membership: The HSA membership consists of all the parents and guardians of the current students of Saint Joseph School.

5. Schedule: The HSA board meets the second Tuesday of every month in the school library at 7PM. Yearly events consist of the following; Magazine Drive, Carnival, Wine Tasting, Scholastic Book Fair, Christmas Festival, Auction, Catholic Book Store, Braided Bread sale, Ladies Fashion Show Luncheon.

6. Committee Costs and Other Parish Group Relations: Costs of events are reimbursed through proceeds of said fundraisers.
